Vancouver's Leader in Transition toward Strong, Resilient, Complete Communities
VV hosts the annual Westside Food Festival in collaboration with our neighbourhood food networks, like the Westside Food Network, the Fairview-False Creek Food Network, and the Marpole-Oakridge Food Network. The festival consists of over 70-100 free & low cost activities and workshops throughout the westside.
Locations of events include Kitsilano, West Point Grey and False Creek Community Centres, Westside Vancouver Public Library branches, VV community gardens, the Marpole Neighbourhood House and elsewhere on the westside.
Events include workshops, garden work parties, seed giveaways at local fairs and street parties (e.g. Khatsahlano and Greek Days), and other activities.
The Westside Food Festival is one of six elements in VV's Community Food Resilience project and is our largest event of the year.
